What labels would you place on yourself ? Consider some of these categories ,like your moods or feelings , your appearance , your social traits , talents that you have or some that you don't have your intellectual capacity . You may even consider growth and fixed mindset . Your strong beliefs or lack of beliefs .
Your social roles or your physical condition . All of these are categories that we use to label ourselves . Sometimes we provide those labels and in other cases we are provided those labels , all of the center around the idea of our identity . Look at what you may have chosen as your labels . Write down some of those categories . Write down what your most frequent moods are . How you would describe your appearance . What social traits you see in yourself . Maybe a social role that you have , whether or not you have a growth or fixed mindset .
Write those down and discover whether or not these categories . These labels that you put on them . Do they fit into a theme ? Are you mostly identifying yourself with your career or educational status ? Do you mostly identify with your social role or your temperament or gender ? Maybe it's your sexual orientation or your age . Your generation , your beliefs or lack of beliefs or maybe your occupation . All of these things can impact how we identify ourselves to others and how others identify with us .
These all center around the idea of self concept in self concept . We see a concept called self-awareness , and self awareness is a major part of how we determine what our self concept might look like . We might start with some of the biological roots that exist . These biological roots may come from our personality characteristic ways that we think and behave across a variety of situations . Now , that personality may be something that has changed based on your experiences . It may be something that still emanates from when you were born and certain personality traits .
For example , maybe you were a bit of a slaphappy child when you were tired , regardless of your age . Maybe you still do that . My daughter is one of those . She used to be slaphappy when she got tired , even at the ripe old age of one . And today she is still the exact same way . So maybe your biological roots have some foundation in that . Consider what we call or what is termed the Myers Briggs type indicator . The MBT Eye is a very well established and validated measure of your personality .
You might be able to identify with some of the categories that are in the MBT Eye . This will allow you to see what kind of of signifiers you would use to determine the awareness you have of who you are . Now , within that , you see a couple of different categories . If you were to take the MBT eye scale , you might look at the first part , which is your favorite world . You'll ask yourself , do you prefer to focus on the outside world or are you more focused on the inner world ?
This is that label of extroversion and introversion . Now , a lot of times people think of extroverts and introverts as various specific feelings about being social . While that may be the case for some , in many situations we ill define introversion and extroversion . Most of us think of introversion as people that are incapable or do not desire social company and extroversion or those that like social company . Now , while that may be the case for a group of people that would identify as extrovert or introvert , it is not the actual definition of this .
Introverts actually game . Energy by being alone . So they may tire more easily in social situations . They could get overwhelmed by a lot of stimulus . So if there's a lot of noise , there's a lot of action going around . Maybe there's textures , sounds , smells and the like that might become more exhausting earlier than someone who is an extrovert , extrovert and an extrovert typically gains more energy . The more they're around other people , whereas if they are by themselves , they tend to get tired more easily .
So do you label or can you label yourself as extrovert ey or introvert ? I and this is one of the first labels that you'd you are able to find by experiencing the MBT I scale . The next one is information . "Would you like to focus on the basics?"
Or do you prefer to interpret and add meaning to that information . This is called sensing or intuition . So with a sensing person , you prefer to focus on the basic information that you take in the facts with an intuition or an end .
You prefer to interpret or add meaning based on your experiences or other perceptions that come in . Now , the next one we've talked about , E and I . S and N now we're talking about T and F . These are the decisions that you make when making decisions . You do you prefer to first look at logic and consistency or do you first look at people and special circumstances ? Now this does not mean that you don't look at things logically if you're a feeling person or that you don't look at people and emotions and special circumstances .
If you're thinking person , it just means it's not your first go to thought . So if you were a T , your go to thought is logic . You typically look at logic . You make a decision when you are an F , the first thing you do is base it on feelings or people or circumstances . You can always do these in multiple areas , but this is something that you tend to focus on first based on your label . And the last one would be structure in dealing with the outside world .
I want to know what kind of decisions I want, whether I want to be open or not.
This is the IP judging or season J-P judging or perceiving . So AJP , you are with the J . You are looking at the outside world and you prefer to get things done or decided immediately , whereas the P personality , the perceiving personality stays open to new information and options and adjust their opinions , adjust their dealings with the outside world based on new information .
So these scale , this scale , the MBT , I can very well establish your perception of your personality and how it impacts the interactions you have with other people .
