How do we feel the real value of our self, How do we feel our real self worth.

  • How do we feel the real value of our self

Last time we talked a little bit about the difference between self-esteem and self-worth .
Today , I want to focus on how do we feel our true worth .
I mean , I get this question all the time because I see people in my office who come in for whatever problem , say depression , anxiety ,
relationship issues , addictions , whatever the problem may be .
But underlying it is an even bigger issue , and that is a poor sense of self-esteem or sense of self-worth .
They're not sure they know who they really are and they're not sure they really feel their true and value .
So that made me wonder , how do you teach somebody how to feel and experience their true worth and value as a human being ?

  • Well , I develop something I called the pyramid of Self-worth that helps me teach others how to embrace their true worth .

How do we feel our real worth

today I am hear it to everyone. ❤️❤️
It involves three layers that lead up to the top layer , which is a true sense of your own self-worth .
Before we can change how we are or really embrace how we are , we first have to see how we are .
Self-awareness involves seeing our strengths and our weaknesses , seeing the good , the bad and the ugly , and being able to really then eventually accept and embrace
And that's the second layer upon which we build .

We have to learn to accept in ourselves the things that we like and the things that we don't really like .
We have to be able to understand that the things that are we're not so good at our weaknesses are only there to make us have to grow .
There are opportunities to actually become stronger and our strengths are opportunities to serve others to to develop them even stronger so that we can become even better at
We have a lot of potential , but when we judge ourselves and we fail to accept our strengths , our weaknesses , we really hold ourselves back .
And that's a real block to our sense of self-worth .
So first we have to see ourselves or have self-awareness .
Next , we can practice that self acceptance or can I really accept this about me ?
Then that moves on to the next layer , which is self-love .
Once we see ourselves and we begin to accept ourselves , we don't want to just accept ourselves , say , oh , I guess I can accept that.
I'm good at it or I'm not good at it.

Self-esteem

Self love can involve many things like being kind to ourselves , having compassion for ourselves when we do something wrong or or something that we don't like about ourselves .
It can also include self care or taking care of our needs and making sure we get our needs met .
And when we have these three pieces , when we are self-aware , we have self acceptance and we practice self-love .

  • I've found that that leads to the ultimate top of the pyramid , which is a sense of our self-worth .

We begin to really not just know intellectually that we are a value and worth or not just think it or say it , but to actually feel it
That , to me , is how we discover our own self-worth .
Next time I'll share with you a little bit more on each of these stages and how you can actually embrace these things we're talking about and work through
them and some exercise that might help you along the way .
Until then , I hope you'll join me back here for my three minute therapy series on Self Esteem define article
